Hiring in Los Angeles, CA or Austin, Texas (Relocation required)
We are looking for a talented engineer with a passion for delivering robust solutions and an eye for best-in-class game design to join our team in Los Angeles or Austin.
As a Principal Engineer, you will work closely with Engineering teams to create and improve systems and features for various aspects of the game, mainly focused on systems that support teams building UI.
What you'll do:
- Design, write, debug, and improve systems and tools that primarily support UI/UX development
- Build roadmaps for improving the architecture and drive them to completion
- Work in C/C++, Python, Lua and other languages
- Work closely with peers across the franchise
- Collaborate with UI/UX Artists and Designers
- Contribute to game architecture, technical designs, and postmortems
- Perform data and code analysis to identify improvement opportunities
- Provide mentorship to other engineers
Requirements:
- 15+ years of development experience
- Passion for delivering quality products
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Advanced knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Advanced optimization and debugging skills
- Game development experience
Pluses:
- Proficiency with C#, Python, Lua
- Experience with hosting scripting environments, specifically with regards to VM interop
- Console development experience (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo)
- Experience working with large teams distributed across the globe

Compensation:
In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $167,500.00 - $309,876.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Specific range and offer will be based on factors including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Employees in this role may also be eligible for incentive compensation (not guaranteed).
