Your Mission:

Infinity Ward is seeking a UI Artist to work closely with the multi-discipline UI team to deliver innovative user interfaces for Call of Duty titles.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the UI/UX Director and UI Art Lead to establish and push the look of the game’s UI across frontend, in-game HUD and additional art content while adhering to the UI Styleguide and game direction.
  • Apply strong understanding of design principles, color theory and typography.
  • Create assets from concept through final product: whole screen layouts, iconography, backgrounds, map imagery, widgets, and button helpers.
  • Use After Effects (including Red Giant suite and plugins like Universe) to craft high-quality UI motion graphics and create animation comps that communicate flow, interaction, and feedback.
  • Author comps and assets with motion in mind to convey concepts, functionality, flow, and animation states.
  • Collaborate with UI Engineers, UX Designers and feature/gameplay teams to problem solve and ensure visuals create the best possible user experience.
  • Manage assets, establish naming conventions, maintain accurate checked-in content, and keep stakeholders updated.

Player Profile / Requirements:

  • Shipped at least one AAA multi-platform title through the entirety of production.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI Artist.
  • Strong graphic design background with high proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Clear understanding of art optimization, game and engine constraints.
  • Ability to conceptualize, present and execute ideas within tight schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team and provide/take constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in motion graphics creation for game UI.
  • Avid gamer.

Pluses:

  • Cinema 4D
  • Scripting (e.g. Lua)
  • 3ds Max / Maya / Blender

Compensation:

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $34.28 - $63.42 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Specific range and offer will be based on factors including experience, performance, and work location. Employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation (not guaranteed). New hire compensation is negotiable.
