Job Description

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Senior Technical Producer to join the development of a new IP.  

Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining. 

We are seeking a highly experienced, technically adept, and strategic Senior Producer to support our Engine Technology team. The Senior Producer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of core engine features, tools, and optimizations that power our AAA title. This role requires a deep understanding of game engine architecture, complex technical project management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to balance long-term vision with immediate development needs. 

As a member of the production department, you’ll be focused on creating and managing schedules, tracking development, and ensuring team deliverables are met on time and at quality. In this role, there will be a focus on technical requirements and delivery on features.

You’ll help us by…  

  • Collaborating with the CTO, Technical Directors, and game leadership to define and maintain the long-term vision and roadmap for the engine 

  • Translating high-level studio goals and game team requirements into clear, actionable technical projects for the engine team 

  • Anticipating future technology needs and proactively planning for their development and integration 

  • Leading the planning, scheduling, and tracking of all engine technology projects, including core systems, tools, and platform-specific optimizations 

  • Managing complex interdependencies between engine features and various game team needs 

  • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, stable, and performant engine technology within resource constraints 

  • Identifying and managing technical debt, prioritizing refactoring and improvements as needed 

  • Directly managing the production efforts of the Engine Technology team, fostering a highly collaborative, efficient, and innovative environment 

  • Facilitating communication and acting as a central point of contact between the Engine team and all dependent departments 

  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks and dependencies across the engine and game 

  • Developing and implementing contingency plans to address unforeseen technical challenges or scope changes 

  • Driving conflict resolution and facilitating technical decision-making processes 

  • Providing regular, clear, and concise updates to Leadership and other stakeholders on engine technology status, risks, and strategic progress 

 

You’re awesome because you have…  

  • Proven experience (10 years +) in Production or Project Management in the Games with 2 years experience in managing  

  • Deep understanding of game engine architecture, common systems (rendering, physics, networking, memory management), and optimization techniques 

  • Familiarity with various game development pipelines and the technical challenges involved in shipping a AAA title 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead multiple teams  

  • An understanding of the technical process of software development 

  • A track record of helping ship software products in rapid development cycles 

  • The ability to build regular reports of key actions and risks at different levels of detail 

  • The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team  

  • Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude  

  • Organization methods and the capability to meet agreed timelines 

  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback  

 

Bonus points for…  

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Shotgun 

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint 

  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
