Job Description

For a 6-month period, Vivid Games is looking for an experienced UI Designer with a strong grasp of visual design principles, solid UX sensibility, and hands-on experience designing user interfaces for mobile or desktop games. You will help shape how players interact with core systems, progression mechanics, and monetization features. Your work will have a direct impact on usability, visual cohesion, and the overall emotional experience of the player in the Real Boxing 2 game. Vivid Games is one of the leading Polish mobile game developers and publishers from Bydgoszcz with nearly 20 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design high-quality user interfaces that are both visually appealing and functional across mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with Game Designers, Artists, and Programmers to translate UX goals into production-ready UI assets.
  • Ensure consistency across all UI elements, adhering to project style guides and visual direction.
  • Test and validate UI designs through playtesting and feedback loops, adjusting flows for clarity and accessibility.
  • Support Unity developers during implementation - assist with slicing, anchoring, animation references.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a UI design system.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally in the gaming industry.
  • Strong portfolio with HUDs, menus, UI systems, and UX flows for games or interactive products.
  • Solid grasp of UI/UX best practices, usability, accessibility, and platform guidelines.
  • Strong visual design skills: layout, typography, color, iconography, animation principles.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Experience designing for various resolutions, aspect ratios, and input methods.
  • Basic Unreal UI knowledge (Canvas, anchoring, slicing, prefabs, animation states, etc.).

Nice-to-have:

Motion graphics or VFX/UI animation (After Effects, Spine, Unity Timeline/Animator).
