Job Description:
Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join the development of a new IP. Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining.
As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
You’ll help us by…:
- Actively coding and engineering UI screens for various aspects of the game, including scripting languages and implementing content into the game engine.
- Developing, modifying, and debugging UI software in script and C/C++.
- Deploying, evaluating performance, optimising and testing UI software on PC and console platforms.
- Collaborating with other internal departments (art, design, audio, QA, etc.).
- Co-developing and working closely with other Activision studios.
- Documenting software and features for internal and external engineering teams.
- Participating in the scheduling, design, performance and code review process.
- Reporting to the UI Lead Engineer.
You’re awesome because you have…:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Math related field.
- 3+ years of experience working in a similar role either within the gaming industry or technology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in and knowledge of C/C++, data structures, performance, and multi-threaded programming techniques.
- Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and support other team members.
- Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Creative, motivated, focused, hard-working, results-oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to write efficient, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code.
- Passion for games.

- Background in ActionScript programming.
- Background in C# programming.
- Background in Lua programming.
