We are looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our studio team in Toronto, Canada. In this role you will partner closely with teams at our other studio locations in the United States and Australia in the creation of content for major titles. This role will be studio based at our Toronto, Canada location with flexible working support.

Your Mission:
As a Viewmodel Animator you will be expected to create high fidelity first-person animations that align to the studio's pursuit of ultimate player immersion. This includes weapon-handling, hand-to-hand combat, and locomotion. The role requires identifying and executing the specific "feel" instructed by the project and iterating to high polish levels.
Responsibilities:
- Use traditional animation fundamentals to craft motions ranging from stylized to hyper-realistic.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of camera animation, cinematic framing, shot continuity, and facial animation.
- Respond well to feedback and iterate multiple times to achieve required polish.
- Troubleshoot tool implementations and spearhead workflow improvements to increase team efficiency and creativity.
Player Profile:
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years industry experience
- At least 1 shipped title or equivalent
- Strong ability for hand-keyed animation
- Knowledge of animation fundamentals with a focus on keyframe animation and human movement
- Ability to adapt to new tools and technology
- Experience animating in the Maya environment
- Problem-solving skills both technical and cross-department
- Ability to think philosophically about character movement
Extra Points:
- Understanding of real-world weapon functionality is a plus
- Knowledge of cinematic and motion capture editing and cleanup
- Understanding of character creation (modeling, texturing, and rigging) is a bonus
