Frogwares is currently looking for a Game Combat Designer (AI) to join the team of game designers for its upcoming title — The Sinking City 2.
Requirements & Skills
3+ years of experience, with at least one shipped title (on the PC/Console platform) in the role of Combat Designer or AI Game Designer;
Technical proficiency in Unreal Engine and a strong background in AI systems;
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think critically, and analyze gameplay systems. Understanding of the role of AI in creating engaging gameplay loops;
English Proficiency: at least an Upper Intermediate level is required. You will be expected to fluently present and discuss ideas, as well as write technical documentation in English;
Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to effectively convey ideas to the team;
Nice to have
Passion for and deep understanding of survival horror games;
Experience working on survival horror or 3rd person action projects;
Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine;
Responsibilities
Pitch new enemy archetypes and boss fights that fit the vision of the game. Prototype enemy behaviors and abilities;
Create and maintain design documentation on enemies, bosses, and AI features;
Create and maintain behavior trees, EQS, and Blueprint scripts from early prototypes all the way through final implementation and polish;
Collaborate cross-departmentally to bring the vision to final quality. Drive iterative improvement and refinement of content;
Plan your work to ensure timely delivery at an excellent level of quality;
Work with Level Designers: evangelize AI features and enemies, help Level Designers with combat encounters.
