Opis stanowiska

O pracodawcy:

We are a mobile-first AAA game studio founded by the former CEO and CPO of Plarium. Our team of 140 professionals across Europe specializes in large-scale collection RPGs, drawing on experience developing and publishing Raid: Shadow Legends.

We are building the next evolution of mobile-first CRPGs based on one of the world's most iconic IPs. We operate as a fully remote company, with offices in Tel Aviv and Krakow.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Balance and Economy Designer to own the mathematical and systemic foundations of our game. You will design and tune progression, rewards, currencies, combat balance, and long-term economy health for a large-scale mobile RPG. You will combine player insight, data analysis, simulation, and product goals to create systems that are clear, engaging, sustainable, and fair.

This role also requires strong hands-on experience with large language models and automation. You will help build reliable AI-assisted workflows that accelerate modeling, content production, configuration, documentation, and balance QA.

Responsibilities:

  • Own game-balance and economy design across progression, currencies, rewards, resources, upgrades, and monetization systems.
  • Build economy models, forecasts, and simulations to evaluate player progression, resource pacing, inflation, and long-term system health.
  • Define and tune sources and sinks, reward tables, rarity curves, upgrade costs, offer values, drop rates, and difficulty progression.
  • Balance combat-related systems, including character statistics, power curves, encounters, and progression gates.
  • Use telemetry, cohort analysis, and player behavior to identify friction, exploitation risks, power creep, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with game design, product, data, engineering, monetization, and live-operations teams to translate goals into measurable systems.
  • Plan experiments, assess results, and recommend tuning changes based on both quantitative evidence and player experience.
  • Create and maintain clear specifications, balancing documentation, configuration standards, and repeatable tuning processes.
  • Design LLM-powered and automated workflows for modeling support, content validation, configuration generation, documentation, and balance QA, with robust human review and quality controls.

Requirements:

Experience and Game Design:

  • At least four years of professional experience in game balance, economy design, systems design, or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience designing or operating mobile free-to-play mid-core games.
  • Experience with collection RPGs, strategy RPGs, hero collectors, or similar progression-heavy games is strongly preferred.
  • Experience shipping a game or owning balance and economy systems in a live product environment.
  • Strong understanding of free-to-play economies, progression systems, reward loops, live-operations design, and monetization principles.
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills and confidence working with probability, statistics, forecasting, and large configuration sets.
  • Ability to use player data and product KPIs to form hypotheses, evaluate tradeoffs, and make practical tuning decisions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex systems to creative, technical, and business stakeholders.

LLM and Automation Experience:

  • Strong demonstrated experience using LLMs in production workflows, beyond basic chat-based assistance.
  • Experience designing automated pipelines with structured outputs, validation rules, reusable prompts, and human-in-the-loop review.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with hero collection, gacha, character progression, gear, crafting, or multi-currency RPG economies.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python or R, BI tools, game configuration pipelines, or simulation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting live games through economy monitoring, event tuning, segmentation, and A/B testing.
  • Experience with AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, or workflow-orchestration tools.

What We Offer:

  • An influential role in the mobile RPG gaming industry.
  • Flexible employment terms: employment contract or B2B.
  • A remote, in-office, or hybrid work model.
  • An engaging team environment with regular company events.
  • A competitive benefits package tailored to your needs.

This is an opportunity to shape the balance, progression, and economy of a high-profile mobile RPG while helping the studio adopt practical AI and automation workflows. If you combine rigorous systems thinking with a strong feel for player experience, we would like to hear from you.

Apply now and help build a deep, durable, and engaging RPG economy.
