As a Game Designer you will be working with our product, art, and engineering teams to create genuinely fun and compelling experiences for the many, many, many players who enjoy our games each day.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Create visually cohesive game concepts.

  • Design engaging and sustainable game loops that form the foundation of the player’s experience.

  • Conceptualize and design game mechanics, systems and features for new and existing mobile games.

  • Create and refine game balance, pacing, and player progression to enhance the user experience.

  • Develop and iterate on prototypes to test and refine gameplay concepts.

  • Work closely with the Product Owner to align design decisions with the overall game vision.

  • Collaborate with Artists and Programmers to ensure cohesive and engaging game experiences.

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive design documentation (GDDs).

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of the agile development process.

What We're Looking For

About you:

  • You’re an avid gamer who enjoys playing a wide variety of mobile, PC, console, and tabletop games

  • You have an ability to balance creative vision with practical considerations, ensuring projects are feasible and aligned with business goals. 

  • You can adjust and fine-tune existing features and experiences to make them more enjoyable from a player’s perspective

  • You have a proven ability to design and adjust everything from short moment-to-moment experiences to multi-week metagame cycles

  • You’re comfortable working on free-to-play games in genres such as social casino, casual, and midcore

  • You can use design tools like Excel, Miro, Figma or similar with ease. 

  • You’re not afraid to dive into the numbers to correctly balance complicated features and economies

  • You can work patiently and productively with a wide variety of other teams, including other designers, product managers, producers, engineers, artists, and QA

  • You naturally communicate and even sell your ideas to your teammates and get them excited about what they’re building

  • You’re able to take feedback and adjust accordingly, and whilst you’re able to advocate your point of view, you also have the ability to find the best compromise

  • You’re comfortable making sense of game performance KPIs and metrics and how they relate to game design

  • You’re proficient in English communication, both in writing and speaking.
