Job Description

We are Joyteractive - a leading mobile game developer and publisher specializing in the captivating world of puzzle games. Today, our team boasts 80+ professionals. Our leader is Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle - #3 among all iOS/Android word games in the US. We're looking for an experienced Game Designer to strengthen our RnD team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution of core gameplay by proposing, validating and refining new mechanics, features and gameplay improvements.
  • Work closely with the Producer to shape game design solutions, evaluate ideas and define development priorities.
  • Analyze player behavior and game metrics to make informed design decisions and continuously improve the player experience.
  • Research competitors and market trends to identify opportunities and translate insights into product improvements.
  • Create and maintain clear game design documentation (GDDs, feature specifications, balance documentation).
  • Balance gameplay, progression, rewards and difficulty to deliver an engaging long-term player experience.
  • Maintain and prioritize the design backlog, ensuring ideas are well documented and ready for implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers, artists and QA throughout the feature development process.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of commercial experience as a Game Designer on mobile games.
  • Strong understanding of core gameplay design and player motivation.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify product opportunities and independently propose design solutions.
  • Experience working with game metrics and applying data to design decisions.
  • Strong analytical mindset and systematic approach to competitor research.
  • Understanding of mobile F2P design principles, progression and monetization.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Passion for mobile games and genuine interest in following market trends and new releases.
  • Experience with puzzle or casual mobile games will be a strong advantage.
