Unity Developer Jobs - Unity Programmer Positions in Game Dev

A Unity programmer is one of the most sought-after specialists in the Polish games industry - Unity 3D dominates mobile and indie production and is growing in AA titles as well. Day to day, a Unity developer works in C#, building gameplay components and systems in the Unity editor, optimising for mobile or console targets, and managing the asset pipeline. Remote-friendly studios are common, though Warsaw, Wrocław, and Kraków see the highest concentration of on-site Unity roles.

Unity programmer positions require solid C# foundations and a thorough understanding of Unity's architecture - component lifecycle, scene management, prefabs, and AssetBundles or Addressables. Growing in importance are DOTS (Data-Oriented Technology Stack), Shader Graph and VFX Graph, Unity UI Toolkit, and - for online titles - NGO (Netcode for GameObjects) or Mirror. Many listings also call for optimisation experience: profiling, draw call batching, LOD systems, and memory management.

A Unity developer career starts at junior level, implementing existing mechanics under senior guidance while learning the project codebase. At mid level you own and deliver complete systems independently. A senior Unity developer is the architect: responsible for the technical stack, mentoring juniors, and driving new technical solutions. Specialisation paths within Unity gamedev include technical artist, multiplayer programmer, and mobile performance engineer.

WorkPlays aggregates Unity job listings from the entire Polish games market - no need to wade through general IT job boards where gamedev listings get lost among roles from other industries. New Unity positions appear regularly from both small indie studios and larger publishers.
