At SOFTGAMES, we build games played by millions of players worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Game Designer (Systems & Economy) to help take one of our leading puzzle games to the next level.
Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a design test.
This is a REMOTE position.
Your Role:
- Design, balance, and optimize the game’s economy, progression, and reward systems.
- Create engaging player motivation loops across events, features, and monetization.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive ecosystem of LiveOps events, ensuring they work together rather than compete for player attention.
- Design systems that improve retention, engagement, and monetization while preserving a great player experience.
- Build and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, and simulations.
- Use data to identify player friction points, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Product, BI, UA, Art, and Development teams to improve game performance.
- Analyze KPIs such as Retention, ARPDAU, Conversion, LTV, and Engagement to guide design decisions.
- Drive feature and event improvements through continuous testing, iteration, and experimentation.
- Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations across the team.
Your Profile:
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating successful F2P mobile games.
- Strong experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and LiveOps.
- Proven track record working on casual or puzzle games.
- Deep understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, and monetization design.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design, execute and translate data (e.g. A/B tests) into actionable improvements.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience building balancing models.
- Comfortable making decisions based on KPIs and player behavior.
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities without waiting for direction.
- Proficient in using AI tools for data analysis.
- Deep passion for games.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
