Have you enjoyed the game Viewfinder?
We’re looking for a Puzzle Designer to work on a new project that is in the “Viewfinder” universe. As a puzzle designer, we would like to work with someone who can design similar intriguing puzzles, explore new mechanics, and create cohesive levels that would reduce confusion for players.
Responsibilities:
Ideation, designing, and prototyping mechanics and puzzles in the engine
Greyboxing and creating entire level layouts for players to explore
Iterating output based on feedback, playtesting and adapting to technical constraints as needed
Collaboration and frequent communication with the team regarding their designs
Develop and maintain design documentation on progressions and level layouts
Requirements:
Implementation experience with game engines (e.g. Unity) and productivity software (e.g. spreadsheets, etc)
Strong ability to create and use puzzles and gameplay to create interesting moments and narrative
Understanding of video game puzzle design, optical illusions, especially in a 3D environment
Knowledge of any 3D modelling software is a plus, but not necessary
Must have shipped / worked on at least one puzzle game
Remote, no specific timezone but the team works UK time (GMT)
This is a 3 month contract with the potential of extension
